Avanell Adams VIEW PROFILE

Fox, Mary Evanell. It is with the saddest of hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Evanell Fox, 67, of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Beaver, Ohio, who departed from this life Thursday, July 12, 2007, at her home in Fort Lauderdale surrounded by her loving family. We knew that she had made it home by the peaceful smile upon her face. Evanell, who lost her battle with colon cancer, was a champion winner in all other aspect of life. Her crowning glory was the love of her life, Richard Atwood Fox, who she married November 22, 1958, and the ten children they lovingly raised together and to whom they devoted their lives. Angelic in many ways, if you knew her, then you loved her. Her favorite pastimes were spent with her family, baking pies, working crossword puzzles, playing computer games, going to the beach, junkin’ on Saturdays at yard sales and reading. She was an active Auxillary [sic] member and volunteer at Holy Cross Hospital where she loved working as an assistant buyer and decorator for Lorelei’s Gift Shop. She also volunteered hours in the Pink Lady Thrift Shop boutique. Evanell was born June 30, 1940, to Mary and James Adams. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Fox; her parents, Mary and James Adams; a younger brother Jesse; parents-in-law, John and Grace Fox; brothers-in-law, Raymond & Tene Ackerman and Ralph Fox. Evanell is survived by her loving children, Ken & Paula Fox, of Lancaster, KY, Vicki & Larry Pringle, of Minford, Ohio, Grace & Dr. Hugh Gardiner, of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Rick Fox & Phil Cerrito, of Deerfield Beach, FL, Alan & Sharon Fox, of Coral Springs, FL, Joe & Beth Fox, of Beaver, Ohio, Valerie Fox, of Jackson, Ohio, Velvet Fox, of Coral Springs, FL, Chris & Daisy Fox , of Washington Court House, Ohio, Eric & Carrie Fox, of Beaver, Ohio. All of the children are committed to carrying on their parents’ mission of being one family, loving with all their hearts and living their lives to the fullest. She is also survived by her 24 adoring grandchildren, and 11 precious great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a dear mother-in-law, Rachel Fox, of Wheelersburg, Ohio; and a brother-in-law, Dr. Robert (Sharon) Fox, of Alabama. A celebration of Evanell’s life was held Tuesday, July 17 in Ohio. Condolences may be sent to the Fox family at momfox@mindspring.com or to 5570 NE 26 Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308.
