I moved to Borger TX in January 1956 and started school at Borger High. I was a sophmore. I came from a little town, Vinson, OK. Yes, I am an Okie. There were only 8 people in my room. It was a big change for me. My first friend was Dee Spear. She introduced me to Marcia (Campbell) Pittman, Shirley (Studdard) Ross, Bobbie (Clark) Marcom, and June (McFarland) Smith. They are still my friends today. I met Sharon (Cloud) Slocovich at McClellan Variety Store in August 1956. We worked together for 2 years. Sharon and I became best friends. Today we're still best friends. I know that she is always there for me. I married Kenneth Coffee June 1961. He passed in My 2002. We had 41 happy years together. I have two stepsons, Terry and Fred Coffee, 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren. My grandson (Blaze Coffee) was killed in an industrial accident in Setp 2009. He was 19 years old. I retired from Assistant Cashier at Peoples Bank & Trust. I moved to Amarillo in Nov. 2003.
