SAPULPA, OKLA. The Rev. Joe C. Knowles, Jr., died Thursday in St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.

Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Monday in the Sapulpa First Baptist Church with the Rev. Roy D. Moody, pastor, officiating. Assistants will be the Rev. Billy Pierce, associate pastor, and Page Cole, youth pastor.

He was born in Borger, July 31, 1940. He graduated from Borger High School, Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, and Southwest Theology Seminary in Ft. Worth.

He pastored churches in Tipton, Okla., Cleburn, Plainview, and Sapulpa.

Survivors include his wife, Suzanne of the home; one son Chad, of the home; parents, Joe C. and Janice Knowles of Borger; one sister, Mrs. C. W. (Bitsy) Howell of Laredo.

Burial will be in Green Hill Memorial Cemetery in Sapulpa by Owen Funeral Directors.
