Beverly Joan Cardwell died in Portland on September 10, 2004 at the age of 64. She was born on May 29, 1940 in Borger, TX to Alvin G. and Matilda Rawlins Summers. She was a retired elementary teacher having taught at Ingleside I.S.D. She was a member of Country Bible Church.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Ray R. Cardwell of Portland, one daughter, Vicki (Sean) Hanson of Lemoore, California, one sister, Patricia Kwiatkowski of Amsterdam, Netherlands, one brother, Darrell Summers of Phoenix, Airzona, and two grandsons, Zachary Hanson and Tyler Hanson, both of Lemoore, Calidornia.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM on Saturday, September 11, 2004 at Colonial Funeral Home, Taft with Rev. Larry Mayo officiating.

Burial will follow in Taft Memorial Park.
