BORGER - Johnnie P. "Hoot" Gipson, 53, Borger, died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 1991 in Golden Plains Community Hospital.

Services are pending with Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

A native of Strawn, he had been a Borger resident for 50 years. He was a truck driver for Zachry Construction.

He was a member of Borger Church of God, graduated from Borger High School, was a member of Moose Lodge, National Guard, and past member of Hutchinson County Sheriff's Posse.

Survivors include his wife, Judy of the home; two daughters, Raedella Russell and Judy Clendennen, both of Borger; three step-sons, Bennie Aikens, Wesley Aikens, and Richie Aikens, all of Borger; two brothers, Eddie Gipson of Alvin; and Oran Gipson of Houston; two sisters, Ethel Earls of Ranger; and Violet Heath of Tishomingo, Okla.; five grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.
