Richard Randolph (Randy)  Hudson

Richard Randolph (Randy) Hudson, 83, passed away on Sunday, August 11th, 2024.  He was born November 18th, 1940 in Mt. Vernon, IL.  He and his family moved to Seminole, OK when he was 5 and to Borger, TX when he was 10, where he grew up and went to school.

He graduated from Borger High School and then went to Frank Phillips Junior College for 2 ½ years.  After that he enlisted in the Marine Corps, where he spent 6 years active, inactive and reserve before he was Honorably discharged with the rank of Lance Corporal.

He moved to Wichita Falls in 1969 where he met and married Carol Nichols in August 1972.  Two years later they and the entire family would be surprised with an unexpected set of twins.  This earned him the CB handle of “Doubleshot” that he was embarrassingly proud of.

In April of 1994, he married Alice Harmon and they would spend the next 30 plus years together until his death.

He retired from the North Texas State Hospital-Wichita Falls Campus in 2002.  He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, mowing his yard, cooking out, watching football and golf, and spending time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Nancy Hudson.

He is survived by his wife of over 30 years, Alice Hudson of Wichita Falls; his daughter Melissa Ming and husband Tony of Olney. Sons, Michael Hudson of Shiner, and Gregg Schmitz of Bartlesville, OK.  His sister, Melissa Jones and husband Mimphord of Strafford, MO; stepson, Matt Harmon of Wichita Falls; sister in Law, Lora Whitaker of Wichita Falls; and brother in Law, Aaron Skinner of Petrolia, TX.
