BEAVERTON, Ore. - Bennie Vaughn, 61, died Friday, Sept. 29, 2000 in his home.

Mr. Vaughn was born Nov. 17, 1938, in Memphis. He was 1958 Borger High School graduate. He attended Frank Phillips College and studied accounting. He was a truck driver. He moved to Oregon in 1970 and worked for Pacific Chain in the foundry. He married Pat Marie Nopanen in Vancouver, Wash. He managed a Union 76 station at 185th on Highway 26 for almost 15 years. He worked a short time for Escoe Foundry until he bought his own truck and drove long haul. He worked for Eagle Systems for the past six years.

He was preceded in death by a son, Charlie in 1996 and a brother, Larry, in 1997.

Survivors include his wife, Pat; two daughters, Syndy Trinklein of Castle Rock, Wash., and Vicki Kehr of Beaverton, Ore,; one brother, Jerry Vaughn of Gresham, Ore,; two sisters, Gereta Truman and Judy Burrows, both of Borger; his mother, Aileene Vaughn of Borger and six grandchildren.
