Marion Goodman

January 17, 1941 - March 21, 2005 Marion Goodman, 64, passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer. Born in Newark, NJ. Marion, beloved wife of 39 years, is survived by her husband, Peter Goodman. They made their home in Lafayette, CA. Devoted mother to daughter, Susan (Goodman) and son-in-law, Steven Schaffer of Austin, TX and son, Michael and daughter-in-law, Christy (Currie) Goodman of Westport, CT. Cherished grandmother of Ethan, Max and Zoe Schaffer and Teddy Goodman. Sister to Donald Voet of Wallingford, PA, Martin Voet of San Clemente, CA and Louise (Voet) Blumberg of Arlington, TX.

Marion earned her degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado and her Master's in Social Work from UC Berkeley. Marion's successful and varied career included Chief of the Criminal Justice Health Services for Contra Costa, a Democratic Political Consultant and Fund Raiser, a member and past President of the National Women's Political Caucus, CA Chapter, a member of Project Hearth, AIPAC and Temple Isaiah. Friends and family are invited to funeral services at Temple Isaiah on Wednesday, March 23, at 11am, 3800 Mt. Diablo Blvd., Lafayette, CA.
