Lona McGill

September 14, 1939  -  July 31, 2025

Lona Murley McGill, age 86, passed away at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, KS, July 31, 2025. She was born September 14, 1939 to Elmer and Cora (Bradley) Yeager in Crockett, TX. She attended and graduated from Borger High School in 1958.

Lona married Don McGill August 4, 2018. They made their home in Dexter, KS. She was a secretary by trade and then a homemaker. She loved her family time and cherished her kids and great grandchildren.

Lona is survived by her son John Murley; daughter Denise and husband John Martin; grand children Chucky Murley, James Murley, Aaron Yohn, Micaela and husband Victor Brown, Jesse Murley, Caleb Murley, Justin and wife Jenny Martin, Jaxon and wife Tori Martin, Justin and wife Tiffany Hazelip; great grandchildren Kayson Gibbs, Trace Murley, Peyton Lay, Sage Lay, Tegan Murley, Arlock Watson, Maizee Brown, Jaylon Martin, Kyson Martin, Karsyn Martin and Tatum Martin.

Lona is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Bill and Bobby Yeager; sister Sue Pipkin as well and her husbands Charles L. Murley and Don McGill.

A visitation will be held at Rindt-Erdman Sunday August 10, 2025 from 5PM-7PM. A grave side service will be held Monday August 11, 2025 at the Dexter Cemetery in Dexter, KS, at 10:30 AM. Arrangements will be handled by Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home and Crematory.
